Hello, and welcome to calm The Farm!

Let me introduce myself, my name is Amie.
Our love for animals has always been a focus point in our lives and we have provided sanctuary to many animals in need.
My daughter Claire being diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy at 8 months old (now 26 years old) life faced many challenges growing up in a world which was loud, confusing and sometimes scary As l witnessed the relaxed and positive change in her being around the animals, taking responsibility for their care, building confidence, learning patience and new skills and really just enjoying being in a quiet moment.
lt prompted and motivated me to start up our own unique space to share with others, somewhere you can slow down, reconnect with nature and get the opportunity to spend time in a small hobby farm surroundings.

WHAT WE ARE ABOUT

Calm The Farm is a small Hobby Farm designed to connect with nature whilst leaning fun facts along the way.
During your time here you will enjoy up close and personal interactions with our furry and feathered friends.
You will have the opportunity to collect eggs from our chickens, plant some vegetables, groom our pony, meet our goats who are very helpful with the weeding for the garden areas and also love greeting our visitors. Feed the ducks in their own private pond area.
Our activities are designed to create special moments, fun learning, encourage curiosity and communication, enhance your skills and confidence.

Providing our visitors with many sensory experiences to explore along the way.
Whether it be stroking the sleek feathers of a hen or feeding a goat from the palm of your hand, perhaps the soft touch from the nose of a pony, Calm The Farm believe in supporting interactions that are based on a mutual understanding between ourselves and our animal residence, we hold our animal welfare to the highest standard. We encourage you to learn how animals are often just like us and enjoy the same things we do in their own special unique ways. All our activities are based on providing an educational fun experience, leaving our visitors feeling relaxed, happy and taking away special moments shared together. We are not a Therapy based service, rather a service that provides individuals with bonding moments which are great for our wellbeing.
Calm The Farm is set in a peaceful environment and encourages us to get back to nature, enjoy the outdoors, demonstrate our creativity whilst learning through fun activities.

  • Hobby Farm Experience, Package
    (3hrs 4 people $250) 0R (1.5hrs adult - $50, child aged 3 to 12 - $40, Concession Card Holder - $40) Children 2 and under are free.
  • Meet and Greet with our furry and feathered friends
  • Enjoy hand feeding
  • Egg collecting, interacting with our chickens, who are always curious.
  • Brush and groom our mini Shetland pony Mindy
  • Playtime with the goats Clara and Pepper.
  • Meet our retired senior horses who love a carrot and a pat.
  • Come waddle with us in our duck pond, spend time within our quacking community
  • Engaging, Creative and Sensory activities throughout!
  • Leafy Friends is mini interactive vegetable planting activity, Where you will learn to become a plant parent

With your take home mini veggie starter kit.
If you take care of it with sunshine, water and love, you will watch it grow from a seed to a vegetable friend that you car eat or admire.

  • Introduction to Pony and Horse Care Package
    (1 person 1.5hrs $120)
  • Feeding, watering making sure our ponies/horses are comfortable
  • Learning parts of your pony/horse.
  • Hoof care, learn how to pick up hooves to safely clean them.
  • Basic grooming to keep our ponies/horses looking their best.
  • Learning the basic parts of your saddle and bridle, an
  • opportunity to saddle up your horse/pony, lead them around
  • or
  • hop on and go for a short led ride on your pony

These activities are held in a safe environment and are designed to be a great introduction to pony/horse care. With a hands on opportunity to learn new skills, enhance curiosity, encourage communication and just have fun.

  • We provide fruit and water on the day
    There is a toilet facility available!
